Job summary

Atria Health in New York is seeking a skilled Radiation Technologist specialized in DEXA mammography to join our imaging team. You will perform DEXA scans, contribute to CT imaging as needed, and ensure patient comfort and safety per Atria protocols.

Required NY license, ARRT registration, 2+ years of DEXA Mammography experience, and strong communication skills. We offer comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical School Diploma required.
• New York State license required.
• Current ARRT registration required.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Radiation Technologist for DEXA Mammography.
• Experience with other modalities a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging in accordance with safety protocols and procedures.
• Use proper patient positioning tools and ergonomically correct scanning techniques.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Refer complex diagnostic questions to the appropriate physician when needed.
• Assist with additional imaging modalities (MRI Focus, and CT) as needed.

Essential Job Duties:

• Preference for multiple modality certification (Dexa / CT)
• Conduct imaging in accordance with Atria safety protocols, policies, and procedures
• Use proper patient positioning tools, devices, equipment adjustment, and ergonomically correct scanning techniques to ensure patient comfort and safety
• Assume responsibility for the safety of the patient during the imaging and communicate in a manner appropriate to the patient’s ability to understand
• Except as authorized by clinical management, refer specific diagnostic, treatment or prognosis questions to the appropriate physician or healthcare professional
• May help the team by performing other imaging modalities (MRI Focus, and CT)

Compensation Range:

$120,000 - $140,000

Job Requirements:

• Vocational or Technical School Diploma required
• Current New York State License required
• Current ARRT registration required
