Job summary

Cayuga Health in Ithaca, NY is seeking a Mammography Technologist for full-time days. This role performs mammography and related imaging, ensuring high-quality studies and patient care across multiple Cayuga Health locations.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in radiologic sciences, NYS licensure, and mammography certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience preferred; training available for new graduates.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Sciences (ARRT) required.
• Mammography certification preferred; must obtain within 1 year of hire if not certified.
• Two years' experience preferred; training available for new graduates.
• NYSDOH licensure as Radiology and/or Mammography Technologist.
• Strong written and oral communication; good problem solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operates mammography and x-ray procedures; positions patients and selects technical parameters.
• Explains procedures and educates patients about breast health and screening.
• Ensures high-quality images with proper documentation sent to PACS.
• Assists with training and mentoring new staff and students as appropriate.
• Maintains department cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulations.
