Job summary

Community Hospital-Fairfax in Fairfax, MO, seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic breast imaging and support radiology services. The role requires ARRT/CERTs, BLS, and preferred experience in mammography. You will prep patients, operate DR equipment, ensure safety and maintain records in the EMR.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• ARRT Certification required and must maintain CEU’s.
• Associates degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Mammographic Radiologic Technology certified.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) required. If current not present, must complete within six months.
• Mammography experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and adjust to shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiologic equipment to produce images of the breast for diagnostic purposes and positions equipment accordingly.
• Adheres to radiologic safety, cleanliness and infection control policies and regulations.
• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and explains procedures to ensure comfort and safety.
• Uses DR (Digital Radiography) to obtain quality images.
• Maintains radiologic equipment and reports malfunctions.
• Performs related administrative duties including labeling images and logging procedures.
• Back-up for clinical team members as needed and supports patient flow.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA and department policies.
