Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Socorro, NM is seeking a part-time Mammography Technologist. This 0.50 FTE position performs screening and diagnostic mammograms and adheres to hospital policies and MQSA standards.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in radiologic sciences or related field.
• NM Radiography Tech credential required.
• ARRT (R) or NMTCB certification to be completed within 1 year after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains established policies, procedures, objectives and quality assurance, quality control, safety and MQSA standards.
• Prepares written documentation as required by profession and department; maintains follow up care on post biopsy patients and post-surgical patients.
• Performs radiographic examinations and all mammography examinations (e.g. screening, diagnostic, localization s, biopsies).
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and maintains clean and orderly area.
• Develops films including evaluating film for tech quality.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
• Attends meetings as required

Summary:

Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms. Participates in CIT teams as necessary. Is knowledgeable regarding hospital policies and procedures.
