Job summary

St. Mary-Corwin, part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks a Mammographer in Pueblo, CO to perform high-quality mammography exams, ensuring safety and compassionate care in the radiology department.

You will follow ALARA principles, support fellow technicians, and contribute to patient-focused imaging services for our southern Colorado community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• ARRT(R) and ARRT(M) registration required; Mammography tech credential.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Licensed Radiology Tech (Kansas sites only).
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• One year of imaging experience preferred.
• Certified Bone Densitometry XRay certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs mammography examinations and meets quality standards set by Radiologists and ACR guidelines.
• Produces quality images in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
• Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, minimizing exposure (ALARA).
• Prepares patient for exam and provides information and instruction.
• Assists in breast biopsies with physicians and handles appropriate paperwork and specimens.
• Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and documents any unusual occurrences.

BLS through the American Heart Association

• Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports/documents unusual occurrences and records patient’s condition.

Pay Range

$34.00 - $56.10 /hour
