Job summary

ARA Diagnostic Imaging, part of Radiology Partners, seeks a Mammography Technologist in the Greater Austin area. You will perform all mammographic procedures and uphold patient care standards within a collaborative team.

You will maintain QA records, ensure proper image identification, and apply ALARA radiation safety principles, contributing to high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-recognized radiologic technology program.
• ARRT certification and Texas state licensure.
• Ability to interact courteously with patients and staff.
• Adherence to RP policies including HIPAA and safety standards.
• Demonstrates accurate, timely performance of radiologic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs all mammographic procedures per protocol.
• Ensures appropriate patient care and recognizes conditions key to exams.
• Maintains QA records required by ACR, state, and credentialing bodies.
• Identifies anatomical orientation and proper image identification.
• Applies ALARA principles to radiation safety.

Position Summary

• Performs all mammographic procedures, according to the Department Procedure Manual.
• Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the radiologic procedure.
• Performs and maintains all quality assurance records/controls required by ACR, the State and any other credentialing organizations as required by law.
• Identifies proper anatomical orientation on all required images and assures proper identification on all images.
• Practices radiation safety by applying AARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.

Desired Professional Skills And Experience

• Graduate of recognized, approved AMA Council of Education program in radiologic technology.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.). State certification by the Texas Medical Board (T.M.B.)
• Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all clinical personnel and patients, and to establish effective working relationships.
• Adheres to all Radiology Partners policies and procedures, including compliance, HIPAA, OSHA, licensing, and accreditation guidelines.
• Demonstrates a results orientation for delivering appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion.
