Alameda Health System in Oakland, CA is seeking a Mammography Technologist per diem to perform diagnostic mammography procedures under the direction of the Diagnostic Imaging Director and Radiologist.
Responsibilities include ensuring MQSA compliance, conducting QA tests, reviewing radiology and pathology reports, preparing for inspections, scheduling patients for procedures including biopsies, and supporting staff training.
Under the direction of the Diagnostic Imaging Director and Radiologist, performs mammography procedures at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail and within established departmental policies and procedures.
$90.90/hr
The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization. Experience: 5 years experience as mammography technologist Valid and current certification in Mammography issued by the California State Department of Health Services, Radiologic Health Branch Current Basic Life Support Certification; Basic computer knowledge; Valid and current certification as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the State of California Department of Health Services.
Notes: This is a Per Diem/SAN position. This position requires incumbent to perform both x-rays and mammograms when assigned to a clinic. Experience in stereotactic breast biopsy preferred - will train if needed. You will be joining a tight-knit community hospital clinic integral to the community.
