Job summary

• Ability to operate in a digital imaging environment and maintain records.

Job Description

• Internal candidates must apply by midnight on the Closing Date in order to have bidding rights.
• Performs screening and diagnostic mammography procedures with a thorough understanding of FDA and MQSA regulations as well as CA state requirements.
• Responsible for equipment quality control test documentation.
• Must meet the continuing education requirements for California, FDA and American College of Radiology.
• May rotate through Bone Dexa services as needed.
• Must be able to use knowledge and ability to assist physicians, interpret orders and explain procedures to RNs, patients and families.
• Secondary responsibilities include a thorough understanding of the department operations in order to assist non-technical staff in processing paperwork and films.
• In the absence of the Program Manager, may serve in a leadership role to ensure continuity of service.
• May attend meetings or participate in programs to improve operations or services.
• Ability to work within a digital imaging environment.
• Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.
• Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail).
• Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop-down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
