Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking a Mall Security Officer to protect sites in Hackensack and Jersey City. The role requires a valid driver’s license and a commitment to safety and guest service.

You will patrol on foot or in a patrol vehicle, monitor entry points, and respond to alarms with professional assessment. Responsibilities include documenting surveillance activity, deterring vandalism, and ensuring a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Valid SORA license or willing to obtain.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean MVR.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and flexible.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking).

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises on foot and/or in Securitas Vehicle regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
• Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations.
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation.
• Provide assistance and customer service to guest in need.
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
• Detect suspicious behavior and prevent vandalism or other criminal activity.

Pay rate : $17.50-$18.00

Job Duties

• Patrol premises on foot and/or in Securitas Vehicle regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
• Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
• Provide assistance and customer service to guest in need
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
• Responsible for detection any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, or other criminal behavior.

Requirements

• Valid SORA license or willing to obtain
• Must possess of a Valid Driver's License with a clean MVR
• High School Diploma/GED
• Must be 18 years or older
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required
• Must be reliable, self-motivated, and flexible
• Must be available to work Weekends and Holidays
