Job summary

ATCO STRUCTURES USA INC. in Houston, TX is hiring a Make Ready Technician to maintain modular buildings and grounds for the Space Rentals Branch. The role includes performing general maintenance, inspections, cleaning, and preparing units for deployment to customer sites.

Some travel is required. The ideal candidate has 0–2 years of general labor or mechanical work experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in general labor, repairs, or mechanical work.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Proven maintenance/repair experience in residential or similar settings.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and welding techniques.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and prep for modular building lease fleet.
• Inspect modular units to assess repair needs.
• Paint walls, ceilings, and trims; repair fixtures and hardware.
• Patch drywall; minor carpentry work and flooring maintenance.
• Troubleshoot minor electrical and plumbing issues.

ATCO STRUCTURES AND LOGISTICS (USA) INC. (“ASL-USA”) is seeking aMake Ready Technician for our Space Rentals BranchinHouston. This position is responsible for keeping the grounds and modular buildings maintained using necessary equipment as well as keeping machinery and other equipment in good operating condition.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide general maintenance and overall preparation ofmodular buildinglease fleet .
• Conduct thorough inspections ofmodular units to assess maintenance and repair needs.
• Painting walls, ceilings, and trims
• Repairing or replacing fixtures such as faucets, light fixtures, and cabinet hardware.
• Patching and repairing drywall and minor carpentry work.
• Troubleshooting and fixing minor electrical and plumbing issues.
• Repairing or replacing flooring as needed.
• Check locks and keys, re-key if necessary.
• Check weather stripping, replace/repair, if necessary.
• Ensuremodular unitsare thoroughly cleaned and sanitized beforedeployment to customer site.
• Cleaning windows, blinds, and window sills .
• Deep cleaning bathrooms and kitchens including appliances.
• Vacuuming and steam cleaning carpets.
• Sweeping and mopping floors.
• Removing trash and debris.
• Maintainaccuraterecords of work completed, materials used, and anyadditionalnotes related to the condition of themodular unit.
• Communicate effectively withyard manager to ensuretimelycompletion of make-ready tasks.
• Perform service-related tasksin the sales yard,asrequested.
• Perform service calls at the customer site, as requested. Some travel required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE

• 0-2 Years’ experience with general labor,generalrepairs,or mechanical work.
• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Proven experience in general maintenance and repair work, preferably in residential and multi-family settings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and weldingtechniques.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The abilityto work independentlyand effectively with minimal supervisionin a fast-paced environment isa must.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must
• Valid Driver's license is required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
