Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Make Ready Maintenance Technician for Rivers Edge Apartments in Waterford, MI. You will help ensure vacant homes are market-ready and support a positive resident experience.

Responsibilities include drywall repairs, painting, appliance repair, and completing the move-in ready process on schedule. The role requires basic carpentry, plumbing, and strong communication with residents and team members.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience with drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring or appliance repair preferred.
• Possess own tools and reliable transportation.
• Maintain professional appearance and dress code.
• Able to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn software and apps.

Responsibilities

• Restore vacant apartments to market-ready status.
• Complete full vacant turn to meet move-in deadlines (drywall, paint, caulking, grouting).
• Repair or replace appliances, faucets, garbage disposals, locks, windows; perform carpentry and tile work.
• Complete administrative paperwork as necessary.
• Assist with snow and ice removal as required.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What are the responsibilities of a Make Ready Maintenance Technician?

• Ensuring that all vacant apartment homes are restored to market-ready status
• Completing full vacant turn process in a timely manner to meet move-in deadlines including drywall repairs, painting, caulking and grouting
• Repair or replace appliances, faucets, garbage disposals, entry locks, windows as well as carpentry and ceramic tile installation
• Completing administrative paperwork as necessary
• Assisting with snow and ice removal, as required
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

What are the role requirements?

• Previous experience in building maintenance working with drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, appliance repair is preferred
• Possess own tools
• Maintain a professional appearance following team dress code policy
• Able to effectively and professionally communicate with residents and co-workers
• Basic computer skills and comfort learning software, apps, and programs
• Have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
