Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Make Ready Maintenance Technician to join our on-site operations team in South Bend, IN. You will ensure vacant homes are restored to market-ready status and complete the full turn process on schedule to meet move-in deadlines.

The role requires experience with drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related trades; HVAC experience is a plus. You must have your own tools and strong communication with residents and teammates.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance with drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring or related areas is preferred.
• HVAC certification or practical experience is preferred but training may be provided.
• Must have own tools and be able to communicate effectively with residents and teammates.
• Moderate computer skills and comfort with basic software and apps.

Responsibilities

• Restore all vacant apartment homes to market-ready status.
• Complete full vacant turn including drywall, painting, caulking and grouting on time.
• Repair or replace appliances, faucets, locks, windows and do carpentry or tile work as needed.
• Complete administrative paperwork as necessary.
• Assist with snow and ice removal as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Irish Hills is currently looking for aMake Ready Maintenance Technicianto join our on-site operations team to help support a positive experience for our residents.

What are the responsibilities of a Make Ready Maintenance Technician?

• Ensuring that all vacant apartment homes are restored to market-ready status
• Completing full vacant turn process in a timely manner to meet move-in deadlines including drywall repairs, painting, caulking and grouting
• Repair or replace appliances, faucets, garbage disposals, entry locks, windows as well as carpentry and ceramic tile installation
• Completing administrative paperwork as necessary
• Assisting with snow and ice removal, as required
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

What are the role requirements?

• Previous experience in building maintenance working with drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, appliance repair, and HVAC is preferred but willing to train
• HVAC Certification or experience is preferred but willing to train
• Possess own tools
• Maintain a professional appearance following team dress code policy
• Able to effectively and professionally communicate with residents and co-workers
• Basic computer skills and comfort learning software, apps, and programs
• Have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
