Job summary

The Cushman & Wakefield Flats on San Felipe in Austin, TX is hiring a Make Ready Assistant to support preparing market-ready apartments, exterior maintenance, and common areas for residents. You will assist with painting, cleaning, repairs, and coordinating with the Maintenance Supervisor.

You will follow safety procedures, deliver excellent resident service, and participate in training while wearing the Cushman & Wakefield uniform and representing the brand professionally.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related field experience preferred.
  • EPA 608 Type 11 license preferred; valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be able to follow directions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare market-ready apartments with painting, cleaning, and basic repairs.
  • Assist in exterior maintenance, grounds, and common areas to keep the property safe and clean.
  • Report maintenance concerns and follow safety procedures at all times.
  • Provide excellent resident service and behave professionally in line with Cushman & Wakefield standards.

The Make Ready Assistant helps in maintaining the community and assists others in the completion of Market-Ready apartments, exterior maintenance, and common areas of the property.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:Assist in preparation of the market-ready apartments, which may include, but is not limited to, painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs, drywall repairs, both vinyl and ceramic tile replacement.Assist the staff in various projects as needed, including, but not limited to, the disposal of trash, debris, and snow (of applicable).Performs various functions such as exterior light bulb replacement, grounds equipment maintenance and repair, installation and removal of external signage and decorations.Maintains grounds, pools/ hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities to keep them clean, operational, and safe for our residents.Reports any maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.Attends and participates in all training programs as required by Cushman and Wakefield.Delivers various communications to residents as needed.Delivers superior customer service and represents the Cushman and Wakefield brand in a professional manner at all times.Dresses per Cushman and Wakefield uniform and professional appearance standards.Maintains all safety procedures and safeguards all company tools and equipment.Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.COMPETENCIES:Valid Driver’s LicenseEPA 608 -Minimum Type 11, preferredKnowledge of Hand toolsProfessional and courteousAble to take direction and follow instructionsBe able to handle all emergencies and work late, come in earlyPractice all safety protocols and protocolsBe a team player and lead by exampleIMPORTANT EDUCATIONHigh School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational schoolIMPORTANT EXPERIENCESome experience in related fieldWORK ENVIRONMENTThis job operates in a professional office environment.
