Job summary

McCormack Baron is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician in St. Louis to handle carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs in apartment communities. You will support daily work orders, unit turns, and preventative maintenance, while adhering to safety protocols.

Three years of maintenance experience is required. A valid driver's license and own tools are necessary to perform repairs and respond to on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years maintenance experience in an apartment community.
• Excellent organization and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and workloads.
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
• Must have good diagnostic skills and be able to repair appliances, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting/sheetrock; must have your own tools.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair apartment units including carpentry, plumbing, appliance, and electrical work.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with work orders, unit turns, preventative maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
• Adhere to dress code and safety procedures; use appropriate PPE.
• Be available for emergency on-call rotation as required.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions):

• Must have maintenance knowledge in the areas of carpentry, plumbing, appliance, electrical, and other typical apartment repairs.


• Support the Maintenance Supervisor with daily work orders, unit turns, preventative maintenance, and any other duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor or Management staff.


• Adhere to the dress code as established by management


• Use proper protective equipment when necessary and follow safety procedures.


• Prospective candidates must be available for emergency on call rotation as required.

Experience:

• At least three (3) years previous maintenance experience required, specifically in an apartment community.


• Excellent organization and customer service skills.


• Ability to handle multiple priorities and prioritize workloads.


• Must be able to work independently with little supervision.


• Must have good diagnostic skills and be able to perform repair work on the following: appliances, electrical systems, plumbing systems, carpentry, and painting/sheetrock. In this position, you are required to have your own tools.


• Must have a valid driver’s license (noted for sites with motorized vehicles)
