Job summary

Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) invites applications for a full-time University Philanthropy Officer to join our University Advancement Team.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, this role identifies, qualifies and engages prospective major gift donors to strengthen MSOE's philanthropic pipeline and manages a portfolio of emerging prospects to build relationships with alumni, friends, parents, faculty, staff, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum one year of work experience preferred.
• Experience in related fields outside higher education fundraising may be considered.
• Expected to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and engage prospective major gift donors to strengthen MSOE's philanthropic pipeline.
• Manage a portfolio of emerging major gift prospects and develop relationships with alumni, friends, parents, faculty, staff, and community partners.
• Develop and execute cultivation and solicitation strategies for each prospect under management.
• Collaborate with donor relations and stewardship to ensure donors are properly thanked and impact of giving is communicated.
• Travel as needed to meet fundraising objectives and to coordinate with colleagues across University Advancement.
