Museum of the Bible is seeking a Development Officer to cultivate, solicit, and secure major gifts, building visibility and resources for the organization. You will manage a donor portfolio, collaborate with leadership, and travel to engage prospects across the U.S.

Preferred candidates have 8+ years in major or planned gift fundraising, strong proposal writing, and excellent communication skills. This full-time role involves significant donor interaction and regional travel.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• 8+ years of demonstrated successful experience in major or planned gift fundraising.
• Experience developing clear and concise funding proposals.
• Organized and exhibit follow through on tasks and goals.
• Attention to detail and strong project management skills.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills; with good listening ability.
• Adept at presenting to large audiences.
• Strong software skills, including Microsoft Office & Salesforce (or similar CRM).

Aufgaben

• Cultivate, solicit, and secure major and principal gifts for Museum of the Bible.
• Manage a portfolio of up to 200 accounts to move donors toward solicitation and closure.
• Track activity in Salesforce and report on donor relationships and progress.
• Collaborate with Development leadership, and with the CEO/CDO on strategy.
• Travel as needed to engage donors in the region and across the United States.
• Represent MOTB and engage with external constituencies to advance funding objectives.
