Job summary

Simon Property Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Great Mall in Milpitas, CA. The role requires a self-sufficient, customer‑focused individual who can perform a broad range of maintenance tasks across the mall and support daily operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to commute to Milpitas. You will work with HVAC, life-safety systems, and various trades while delivering excellent

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to commute to Milpitas, CA and relocate if necessary.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance in commercial/retail settings, including landscaping and property cleaning.
• Paint, sheetrock, and maintain interior and exterior surfaces.
• Inspect and maintain HVAC, fire/sprinkler, life-safety systems.
• Execute mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Operate and troubleshoot CCTV cameras, Wi-Fi, networking, and cabling.
• Control inventory and manage equipment.
• Conduct property inspections and address repair/maintenance needs.
• Walk up to 5 miles per day across the mall site.
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve conflicts with visitors and coworkers.
• Work independently and collaborate with team under supervisor direction.

• Perform general maintenance duties in commercial and retail settings, including landscaping, property cleaning, and shopping cart/pallet collection.
• Paint, sheetrock, and otherwise maintain interior and exterior surfaces.
• Inspect and maintain HVAC, fire/sprinkler, and life‑safety systems.
• Execute mechanical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Operate and troubleshoot CCTV cameras, Wi‑Fi, networking, and cabling infrastructure.
• Control inventory and manage equipment.
• Conduct property inspections and address repair/maintenance needs.
• Walk up to 5 miles per day across the mall site.
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve conflicts when interacting with visitors and coworkers.

Schedule & Hours

Full‑time, minimum 40 hours per week. Standard shift: Saturday – Wednesday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. Days off Thursday and Friday. Occasional overnight work, nights, weekends and holidays may be required.
