Job summary

Aramark in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Maintenance Worker responsible for maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds, with emphasis on overseeing repair, replacement, and preventative maintenance of complex electrical systems in institutional and clinical environments. The role requires hands-on experience, ability to lead from the front, and comfort working in a structured, compliance-driven setting.

  • Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Prior experience leading or supervising a team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers.
  • Lead in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs to ensure system reliability and uptime
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with safety standards
  • Train, coach, and develop team members while working alongside them in the field
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and institutional standards
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of tools, materials, and equipment
  • Prepare cost estimates, work plans, and maintenance reports
  • Manage work orders and documentation within a CMMS system
  • Coordinate with leadership, vendors, and other departments as needed
  • Participate in rotational on-call coverage for after-hours, weekend, and holiday electrical emergencies
  • Demonstrates efficient and safe use of equipment and tools.
  • Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence by adherence to component and departmental training commitments.
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures.

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of work including the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds in assigned area(s). Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs. This role is responsible foroverseeing the repair, replacement, and preventative maintenance of complex electrical systems across an institutional and clinical environment.

Thisrole is ideal for someone who brings maintenance experience, can lead from the front, and is comfortable operating in a structured, compliance-driven environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • OSHA or government safety training

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
