Riverfield Country Day School is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Operations Maintenance Department.
The focus of this position is the grounds and facilities maintenance. When the grounds work is complete, and during the off-season, responsibilities will shift to facilities maintenance.
- Grounds maintenance (push and zero turn mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, etc) to maintain the grounds on our 120-acre campus. Most of our campus is wooded with trails throughout.
- General mechanical knowledge (plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
- General basic construction knowledge (woodwork, drywall patch/repair, painting, etc.)
- Must be reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be able to work safely around children and a busy school environment.
- Must be able to pass a background screening, drug test, and have a good driving record. This is a safety-sensitive position.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting & Carrying: Frequent lifting of 50-60 lbs is standard, with some tasks requiring up to 80 lbs.
- Mobility & Agility: Requires constant walking, standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, crawling, and climbing ladders or stairs.
- Manual Dexterity: Ability to operate equipment controls, tools, and in some cases use fine finger dexterity for repairs.
- Environmental Tolerance: Ability to work in extreme temperatures (heat/cold), rain, snow, and around dust or noise.
- Vision & Hearing: Must have close vision to read work orders, schematics, and computer screens, alongside hearing sufficient for communication.
