Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Maintenance Worker to install, maintain and repair the facility’s structures and systems in a secure, institutional setting. The role focuses on plumbing, electrical wiring and fixtures, machinery, equipment, electronics, vehicles and grounds.

Responsibilities include inspecting and diagnosing equipment, performing preventative maintenance and supervising inmates assigned to the Maintenance Department.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in general maintenance or construction is required.
• Knowledge of building construction and the operation of building systems is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Minimum age: at least 21 years old.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required.
• Two years of experience in general maintenance or construction is required.
• Additional equivalent technical/trade school courses in a maintenance or construction related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Knowledge of building construction and the operation of building systems is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
