Job summary

Trinity Health Senior Communities in Holyoke, MA, seeks a Full-time multi-trade maintenance technician. The role covers plumbing, electrical, and carpentry duties to keep facilities safe and well-maintained.

You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to work orders promptly, and ensure operations align with safety standards in a retirement community environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 6–12 months of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to read, write and understand English; follow written and/or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry repairs/construction and maintenance in all areas of the facility to provide a well-functioning and aesthetically pleasing environment.
• Perform limited electrical repairs and maintenance to ensure electrical items are safe and functioning.
• Perform limited plumbing repairs and maintenance to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Perform limited repair, prep and painting of walls to ensure safety and aesthetics.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Providence Place at Ingleside is an exceptional 55-plus active adult independent living community and retirement community located on a scenic hilltop in Holyoke, Massachusetts. We work diligently to enhance the senior independent living experience and offer a variety of programs for our residents to maintain an active lifestyle.

Compensation: $18.07 - $24.56 depending on verification of experience and qualifications.

Position Purpose: Performs multi-trade tasks in the repair and maintenance of plumbing, electrical and carpentry, physical structures in an assigned area ensuring proper safety and standards within the facility. Will complete preventative maintenance in its scheduled time. Prioritizes and completes work orders in a timely manner.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Perform carpentry repairs/construction and maintenance in all areas of the facility so as to provide an environment where all items function correctly and present a proper aesthetic appearance.
• Perform limited electrical repairs and maintenance to ensure that all electrical items are safe and function properly
• Perform limited plumbing repairs and maintenance to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Perform limited repair, prep and painting of all walls in the facility to ensure safety and for proper aesthetic appearance.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Work requires a high school diploma or equivalent and six to twelve months of previous work-related experience.
• Requires a valid driver's license.
• Work requires the ability to read, write and understand English. Work requires the ability to respond to written and/or verbal instructions. Occasionally requires contact with patients and/or visitors, which involves ordinary courtesy

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work requires lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.
• Work requires stooping and bending.
• Work requires ability to reach and grasp objects.
