Job summary

Alvin TX is seeking a reliable groundskeeper to perform groundskeeping duties in City right-of-ways and easements, and assist with minor street maintenance as assigned by the Street Supervisor. This role requires working under direct supervision, following detailed instructions, and adhering to prescribed standards and procedures to maintain safe, clean and attractive public spaces.

Job Announcement

Under direct supervision, performs various groundskeeping duties as necessary in the maintenance and beautification of City right-of-ways and easements. Performs minor street maintenance duties as assigned. The incumbent must be able to perform duties according to detailed instructions with adherence to prescribed standards and procedures. Reports to the Street Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred, supplemented by up to six months of previous experience or training in street maintenance and/or heavy equipment operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess a valid state driver's license.

Salary

Hourly rate is 16.31/ hour.
