Job summary

Olin Corporation is seeking a Work Activity Coordinator for the Freeport, Texas facility. You will own maintenance work execution and coordinate internal and external resources to ensure safe, efficient completion of planned work.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in maintenance with progressive responsibility, a strong mechanical background, and supervisory experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP Plant Maintenance is preferred; TWIC and a valid US driver’s license are required.

• Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of all employees and contractors and compliance with procedures.
• Review and ensure completeness of job packages and material verification.
• Act as the Quality Control focal point for maintenance jobs.
• Manage rental equipment and resolve PO issues with service providers.

Title: Work Activity Coordinator
Location: Freeport, Texas

Salary:$81,000 - $122,000
Schedule: 4-10's

Focus:The Work Activity Coordinator (WAC) will be responsible for ensuring that daily maintenance work is executed in a safe, effective, efficient manner per the work schedule. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the coordination of materials and resources for successful execution of job plans to achieve maintenance goals per the Olin Maintenance work process.

Essential Job Functions:

• Own the maintenance work execution phases for internal and external resources, and is accountable for the success of the scheduled work progression
• Plan and executes all emergency or high priority work, considering EH&S and plant production goals
• Accountable for the safety of all Olin employees and Contractor workforce on the assigned plant and making sure that all ORC and maintenance procedures and standards are followed on every job
• Review and ensure completeness of job packages and material verification before handing to the foremen for execution
• Act as the QC (Quality Control) focal point for all maintenance jobs
• Manage rental equipment through service provider. Troubleshoots any payment issues or roadblocks with the requested Purchase Orders

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of work experience in a maintenance role that reflects progressive responsibility and knowledge; process or chemical plant experience preferred
• Strong mechanical background and multi-crafts job experience
• Prior supervisory experience preferred
• Well organized, able to multitask and manage several different jobs at the same time. Able to change priorities quickly in order to meet different deadlines at a short notice
• Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); SAP Plant Maintenance knowledge preferred
• Proven effective verbal and written communication skills; trouble-shooting and analytical presentation skills
• Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• This position is subject to applicable U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and requires successful completion of all required DOT drug and alcohol screening and qualification requirements.
• This role is approximately 50% office-based and 50% plant-based. The position requires the ability to safety access and navigate an operating industrial facility, including production areas, stairs, fixed ladders, elevated platforms, and uneven surfaces. The role may require extended standing/walking; occasional bending, stopping, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds; and use of required PPE. Essential functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation, consistent with applicable law and safety requirements.
