Job summary

Denison Industries is seeking a Maintenance Welder/Fabricator to repair production equipment and build tooling fixtures per drawings. The role requires TIG/MIG welding and blueprint reading, plus maintenance welding and use of measurement tools.

Candidates must have an AWS welding certification (1G/3G/4G) or equivalent, pass an in-house welding exam, and be able to interpret specifications and paperwork in English.

Qualifications

• MUST have AWS cert with 1G/3G/4G in GMAW or SMAW or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• Must pass an in-house welding exam and skills demonstration
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform basic calculations

Responsibilities

• Repair broken welds on equipment as needed.
• Weld all pipe leaks as needed.
• Fit up and weld assemblies per engineered drawings and specifications using TIG and/or MIG welding processes.
• Perform maintenance welding using MIG, TIG and/or stick welding.
• Read/write English for paperwork, measuring, scheduling, routing and monitoring.
• Interpret blueprints and use various measurement equipment.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned

Summary Description

Essential Functions:

• Repair broken welds on equipment as needed.
• Weld all pipe leaks as needed.
• Fit up and weld assemblies per engineered drawing and specification using TIG and/or MIG welding process.
• Performs maintenance welding processes as required using MIG, TIG and/or stick welding process
• Basic mathematics and read/write English for general and detailed paperwork. (Used for measuring, quality, scheduling, routing, monitoring, etc.)
• Must be able to work with/use various measurement equipment
• Must be able to interpret blue prints.
• Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned

Skills or Experience Required:

Must have AWS Cert with 1G,3G and 4G un GMAW and SMAW or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must pass an in-house welding exam and skills demonstration.
