Job summary

Sysco Hampton Roads, Inc. is seeking an Maintenance Utility Worker to perform daily fueling and basic maintenance tasks for delivery equipment. The role supports fleet shop operations and warehouse staff to ensure equipment is ready for use.

The ideal candidate will perform routine fluid level checks, assist with washing trailers, and help maintain a clean yard while following FSQA schedules and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • 1–3 months related experience or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos, and write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Fuel every piece of delivery equipment daily.
  • Check all fluid levels of power equipment daily.
  • Assist the fleet shop when needed.
  • Prepare equipment for use with fleet shop and night warehouse management.
  • Wash trailers according to the FSQA schedule.
  • Keep the parking lot clean and free of debris.
  • Support night truck spotters to organize the truck yard.
