Qualifications

  • Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical or plumbing.

  • Experience with CMMS and MS Office.
  • EPA certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of building systems.
  • Review and maintain CMMS work orders and documentation.
  • Inspect buildings and equipment for safety hazards and malfunctions.
  • Assist with installation, modification, and maintenance of building equipment and systems.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide prompt customer service as needed.

This role provides assistance with routine maintenance, preventive tasks, and basic troubleshooting while learning and developing technical skills across mechanical, electrical, and building systems. The Maintenance Utility Technician contributes to team success by performing assigned tasks accurately and safely, gaining experience, and building a foundation for growth within the facilities maintenance field.Job DescriptionEXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTSTechnical, vocational, or on-the-job training in at least one of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, & plumbing1-2 years of related experience in facility maintenanceCurrent valid driver's license with clean record. This role routinely uses both maintenance tools and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers to accomplish tasks. May be the only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts; may be required to work extended periods of time without relief when responding to priority / emergency situations (including overtime type assignments); may require shift work and / or stand-by on-call dutiesPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
