Basic Job Functions

The basic functions of the Maintenance Utility Technician are:

1. Utilization of knowledge and skills to support a plant-wide Building & Structural maintenance team, including building and component inspections, preventive maintenance, door repair, HVAC, fabrication, and construction projects.
2. Participation in a training and development action plan required for continuous improvement and support of the maintenance and production teams.
3. Develop and implement projects for continuous improvement.

Safety is the most important aspect of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2-year industrial maintenance degree, 4-year engineering degree, or 1-2 years of maintenance experience.
• Ability to successfully complete the General Maintenance Assessment.
