Job summary

DOC Services, Inc. in Pittsburgh seeks a general labor role to operate equipment and support maintenance across industrial sites. You will operate trucks and cranes, perform scrap disposal, and assist with manual projects, under safety guidelines.

This position requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and readiness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Must wear safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, safety-toe shoes, and a dust mask.
• Constant use of hands and arms handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
• The ability to frequently lift up to 60 lbs.
• Standing for 8 or more hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial trucks and overhead cranes to load and move industrial materials (steel and aluminum).
• Break down, scrap, and dispose of damaged ladders, wood, metal, pallets, and crates; transport waste to dumpsters.
• Maintain outdoor grounds and property appearance.
• Fill in for other positions during periods of high absenteeism.
• Assist the maintenance team with manual labor on various projects.
• Clean and maintain restrooms and locker rooms, including restocking soap dispensers and toilet paper.

• Considerable amount of use with arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
• Standing for 8 or more hours everyday
• Must be able to lift to 60 lbs.

Work Environment

• The job is within an industrial environment which requires work within various areas. The indoor environmental conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy.
