Qualifications

  • GED required.
  • 21+ years minimum age.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean MVR in last 3 years.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to obtain airport SIDA badge with driving privileges.
  • Ability to obtain a Customs seal.

Responsibilities

  • Escort customer personnel within secured areas of the airport.
  • Transport customer personnel to and from assigned aircraft.
  • Remain with customer personnel while they work in secured areas.
  • Support customer needs during aircraft maintenance visits.
  • Operate a company vehicle for escort duties.
  • Assist STS technicians with maintenance-related tasks.
  • Retrieve and deliver aircraft parts and equipment on request.
  • Support winter charter operations involving Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
  • Follow all airport, company and safety requirements.

STS Line Maintenance is hiring a Maintenance Utility Employee in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to support seasonal aircraft maintenance operations during a winter charter program.

This is a part-time, on-call opportunity designed for a dependable candidate who lives near the airport, has a flexible schedule and can respond quickly when called. An FAA A&P license is not required.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Utility Employee supports customer personnel and STS Line Maintenance technicians within the secured airport environment.

Responsibilities
  • Escort customer personnel within secured areas of the airport
  • Pick up and transport customer personnel to and from assigned aircraft
  • Remain with customer personnel while they are working within secured airport areas
  • Support customer needs during aircraft maintenance visits
  • Operate a company vehicle when performing escort duties
  • Assist STS aircraft maintenance technicians with maintenance-related tasks
  • Retrieve and deliver aircraft parts and equipment when requested
  • Support winter charter operations involving Boeing 737-800 aircraft
  • Follow all airport, company and safety requirements
Qualifications

Work Environment
  • Work is performed primarily outdoors on the airport ramp
  • Employees may work in varying weather conditions
  • Position operates within a 24/7/365 airport environment

  • Ability to use hands and arms for lifting, handling and reaching
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
