Job summary

Continental is seeking Maintenance Technicians to keep our manufacturing lines running smoothly and efficiently in a fast-paced plant environment in Kansas. Multiple shifts are available, with potential overtime and weekend work.

The role emphasizes electrical, mechanical, and automation problem-solving to maximize equipment uptime and product quality. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in industrial maintenance, familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems, and the ability to read schematics

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Self-motivated with strong troubleshooting skills and a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
Conduct inspections, calibrations, and adjustments to maintain safety and standards.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering to address issues and improve processes.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Support installation and commissioning of new equipment or upgrades.
Follow safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. YOUR TASKS:

Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime
Conduct inspections, calibrations, and adjustments to maintain safety and operational standards
Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to address recurring issues and support continuous improvement
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Support installation and commissioning of new equipment or system upgrades
Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies

THE ENVIRONMENT:

Multiple shifts available, including potential overtime and weekend work
Work involves standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working around machinery
The job is within a non-climate-controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

2+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
Self-motivated with strong troubleshooting skills and a sense of urgency
Comfortable using hand and power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT:

5+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
Completion of a technical program in industrial machine/ maintenance technology, manufacturing technologyor other related field
Experience with PLCs, VFDs, or automation systems
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or TPM methodologies
Willing and able to work off-shifts and/or weekends
