Job summary

Hassle Free Home Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine home maintenance and repairs in our members' homes in the White Plains, NY area. You will handle tasks, interact with clients, and proactively identify issues to keep homes in top condition.

The role emphasizes independence, good communication, and customer service, with a stable 40-hour weekly schedule and a take-home company vehicle. Health/vision/dental insurance and PTO are included.

Qualifications

• Seasoned handyman/maintenance professional with residential home building/maintenance background.
• Knowledgeable about basic home maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall and painting.
• Excellent problem solving and ability to work independently.
• Strong customer service and presence when working inside homes.
• Comfortable with technology and using proprietary software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and quality completion of scheduled maintenance and repairs.
• Interact with members, subcontractors and support team to provide updates and instructions.
• Provide clearly documented reports after each visit summarizing work and any follow-up.
• Grow and develop skills with professional development and opportunities to advance within the company into leadership roles.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician facilitates home maintenance services in our members' homes by handling routine tasks, addressing client requests, and proactively spotting potential issues. With our Technicians' diligence and attention to detail, homeowners can rest assured that their home is well cared for and consistently maintained to the highest standard.

What You’ll Accomplish

• Ensure timely and quality completion of scheduled maintenance and repairs for our members' homes
• Interact with members, subcontractors and our support team to provide updates and instructions regarding maintenance needs
• Provide clearly documented reports after each visit to summarize the work completed and any necessary follow-up
• Grow and develop your skills with professional development and opportunities to advance within our company into leadership roles

Who You Are

• A seasoned handyman or maintenance professional with a background in residential home building and/or maintenance. High-end luxury experience preferred, not required.
• Knowledgeable about basic home maintenance including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall and painting
• An excellent problem solver who can work independently to troubleshoot household issues
• Have excellent customer service and presence when working inside homes
• A great communicator who can clearly relay both verbal and written information
• Comfortable with technology (basic computer skills, email, our Proprietary Software)

Benefits and Compensation

• Up to $35/hour (commensurate with experience)
• No on-call work -- stable schedule of 40 hrs/week
