Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. in Iowa is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to install, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical systems in a fast-paced plant environment. You will work with HVAC, ammonia refrigeration, pumps, bearings, and drive components.

This role requires strong math and reading skills, ability to lift 100 pounds, and the ability to work weekends. We offer competitive pay, shift differential for 2nd shift, relocation assistance, and education benefits to support your growth.

Qualifications

• Strong reading, math, writing, and analytical skills; HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to work weekends as needed.
• Must lift up to 100 pounds.
• Able to work in confined spaces and in -40 degree temperatures.
• Must not be afraid of heights.
• Perform tasks with minimal supervision.
