Job summary

Sunoco LP in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for routine and unscheduled maintenance of equipment, safety checks, and area responsibilities within the pipeline and pump stations.

The role requires a High School diploma, a valid driver's license, willingness to respond to after-hours callouts, and ability to work independently or with others. Electrical or pipeline maintenance experience is preferred, with safety training encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Must be able and willing to respond to callouts and emergencies after hours including weekends and holidays.
• Participate in emergency response activities including spill drills and boom deployment drills.
• Must be able and willing to work hours outside normal hours as scheduled and required by management.
• Electrical experience preferred.
• Pipeline maintenance experience is preferred.
• Safety training and hazard training preferred.
• Must be able to become qualified on Operator Qualified tasks.
• Must be able to work independently as well with others.
• Must be a self-starter and willing to adapt to rapidly changing conditions.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Initiative and organization abilities for meeting deadlines and establishing priorities required.

Responsibilities

• Handle One-Calls including communications with excavators and landowners.
• Act as liaison with emergency responders and local damage prevention groups.
• Responsible for pipeline right of way maintenance including marker replacement and ROW maintenance.
• Responsible for maintenance of pump stations, motors, valves and actuators.
• Responsible for all regulatory compliance checks.
• Relieve other Maintenance Techs in the area when they are on leave.
• Perform routine facility inspections including housekeeping.

Summary

The successful candidate must reside within a reasonable radius of Sioux Falls, SD. This position is subject to both pre-employment and random DOT drug testing. This position is responsible for all routine and unscheduled maintenance of all equipment including safety checks within area of responsibility along with other assigned duties. Duties include:
