Job summary

Water Country in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform hands-on daily inspections and upkeep of park rides, buildings, and equipment. The role requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to read manuals, and safe operation of tools and machinery.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and water systems, while documenting work and prioritizing safety. Prior amusement-park maintenance experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or certification is a plus.
• 1+ year of maintenance or construction experience preferred.
• Background in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, or landscaping is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance on rides, buildings and equipment.
• Carry out carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical tasks.
• Troubleshoot, test and repair amusement rides and attractions.
• Document work and materials per park policy.
• Follow safety policies and operate heavy equipment as needed.
• Assist in training others on ride operation basics.
