About The Role

As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continuous operation and pristine condition of a diverse campus of healthcare facilities, including a hospital, multiple clinics and medical office buildings in Temple, TX. This hands‑on position requires comprehensive maintenance, upkeep, and repair of small to medium‑sized buildings, building systems, and equipment. Initially, you will work a first‑shift schedule (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday) for training, transitioning to a dedicated first shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Wednesday-Sunday). Your efforts will directly support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of critical infrastructure essential to healthcare delivery.

What You’ll Do
  • Maintain facilities across the large healthcare campus that includes a hospital and multiple small clinics/Medical Office Buildings.
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on a wide range of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections to diagnose potential problems and execute timely repairs, ensuring adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
  • Complete assigned work orders efficiently and accurately, utilizing available systems for tracking and documentation.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance tickets and critical system failures.
  • Execute general plumbing maintenance tasks such as unclogging drains, changing valves, replacing faucets, and repairing leaks.
  • Perform HVAC maintenance, including replacing belts and adjusting temperatures in patient rooms.
  • Conduct building upkeep, including changing light fixtures, patching and painting, and replacing ceiling tiles.
  • Address general electrical maintenance issues, including resetting breakers and troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems as needed.
  • Support energy management initiatives by ensuring all building systems operate efficiently.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
What You’ll Need:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
