Job summary

Redwood Communities, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance across its apartment communities. The role supports operations by handling maintenance requests, preparing vacant units for occupancy, and ensuring safety and curb appeal.

The position runs Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with pay between $23 and $25 per hour. The company offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with company match, plus paid time off

Qualifications

  • Experience performing general maintenance tasks at multiple locations.
  • Valid driver\u2019s license and insurance.
  • Successful completion of background check and legal work eligibility in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Handle maintenance requests for apartments, common areas, and exteriors.
  • Prepare vacant units for re-rent in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Monitor building systems (fire, water) for safety and operation.
  • Perform groundskeeping and janitorial tasks to keep properties presentable.
  • Procure supplies and manage equipment for routine needs.

This role supports the operations team by completing maintenance requests, assisting with property upkeep, and ensuring vacant units are ready for occupancy.Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pmPay Details: $23-25 hrEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintenance Requests: Receive, prioritize, and complete maintenance requests for apartment units, common areas, and building exteriors. Repairs may include, but are not limited to, interior and exterior painting, drywall repair, electrical, plumbing, minor appliance repairs, furniture moving, and assisting with pest control.Unit Turnovers: Collaborate with the Community Manager to prepare vacant units for re-rent in a timely and efficient manner.Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for equipment, systems, and building infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.Systems Oversight: Understand and routinely monitor the operation of fire control, water, and other critical building systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety standards.Groundskeeping: Conduct regular grounds maintenance to maintain curb appeal and a welcoming environment for residents.Janitorial Duties: Perform interior and exterior cleaning tasks to maintain a safe, clean, and attractive property.Supplies and Procurement: Purchase and manage supplies, equipment, and services necessary to meet routine maintenance needs efficiently.Experience performing general maintenance tasks at multiple locationsAbility to work with a diverse population in a residential environmentValid driver’s license and insurance.Successful completion of background check.Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. meeting I-9 guidelinesRedwood Communities is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
