Job summary

Bader in the Twin Cities, a long‑standing property management firm, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for Oakdale & Chateau Carmel Apartments. This full‑time role carries no on‑call duties and offers a comprehensive benefits package with 401(k) matching, health and vision insurance, disability coverage, PTO, FSA, life and AD&D insurance, plus potential rent discounts.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in building maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to perform skilled repairs and diagnostics.
• Provide courteous and efficient customer service at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors and other parts of the building.
• Maintain grounds as assigned and assist with vacant unit preparation.
• Install, repair and maintain plumbing, HVAC fixtures; soldering and fabrication as needed.
• Repair and install major and minor appliances and test systems.
• Troubleshoot issues, replace parts, and provide emergency repairs when needed.
• Complete minor work orders and ensure quality workmanship.

Licenses/Certifications Required:

This level of technician is required to have the licenses and certifications necessary for the property(s) worked at.

• Boilers
• CPO

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors and other parts of the building.
• Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
• Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
• Install, repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
• Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair/replace leaking faucets, remove/replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust/replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts and passage locks.
• Demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service at all times.
• Five years experience
