Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Team Member for our Assisted Living community in Lexington, TN. This part-time or PRN position on the 1st shift offers $20–$25 hourly and involves upkeep of buildings, grounds, and resident safety.

You will perform routine maintenance, respond to repair needs, and help ensure comfort for residents while working with a supportive team and flexible scheduling options.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance, equipment operation, and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and follow maintenance schedules and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Perform routine maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical, wiring, and general repairs.
• Maintain furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and water systems to ensure resident comfort.
• Replace air-conditioner filters and complete monthly maintenance checklists.
• Assist with disaster preparedness, including fire drills and emergency readiness activities.
• Notify management of major repair needs involving lighting, HVAC, plumbing, or building systems.
• Remove snow, ice, debris, and hazards from sidewalks and grounds.
• Oversee landscaping services and assist with lawn care, trimming shrubs, and flower maintenance as needed.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and appropriately.
