Job summary

CF Industries, a leader in clean energy manufacturing, seeks a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain and repair plant machinery across our facilities, including pumps, turbines and compressors, following precise specs to minimize downtime.

You will uphold safety, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with teammates. Overtime and occasional emergency callouts may be required to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; post-secondary technical education advantageous.
• 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or Mechanic with rotating equipment.
• Availability for overtime and emergency callouts.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 80 lbs.
• Foster collaborative relationships.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment.
• Follow precise specifications in maintaining and troubleshooting plant machinery, including pumps, turbines, and compressors.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, including the upkeep of tools and equipment.
• Conduct diagnostic and preventive maintenance on mechanical components.
• Use diagnostic skills to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Align shafts using appropriate measurement tools.
• Interpret repair manuals, procure parts, and follow manufacturer guidelines.
• Complete safe rigging and material handling operations.
• Contribute to tasks requiring climbing, use of safety gear, and operation of lifting devices.
• Coordinate with team members and provide training to peers as experience is gained.
• Follow directives and accomplish tasks independently.
