Decron Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Indigo Springs Apartments in Kent, WA. The role involves performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and preparing units for move-in, with a Sunday-Thursday 8am–5pm schedule.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of maintenance experience, basic HVAC/plumbing/electrical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Valid driver’s license and flexibility to work weekends are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of general maintenance experience, preferably in residential or property management.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance throughout the community.
• Assist with the upkeep of grounds, amenities, and common areas.
• Prepare apartments for move-in by performing repairs, painting touch-ups, and cleaning.
• Ensure tools, supplies, and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
• Elect to participate in the voluntary Opt-In Emergency Call Assistance Program.
• Follow all safety protocols, building codes, and company procedures.
• Assist in inventory control of maintenance supplies.
• Support community events or property inspections as requested.
• Provide backup coverage for porter/janitorial duties when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Frequently work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Regularly climbs ladders, bends, kneels, and reaches in confined spaces
• Routinely lifts or moves objects up to 50 pounds
• Operates hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
