Job summary

Community Services for Every1 is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for and repair property at our Buffalo location. You will perform painting, plumbing, electrical and boiler maintenance, with duties ranging from minor repairs to coordinating with contractors.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work outside normal hours. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or must pass pre-employment skills test.
• Knowledge of basic janitorial/maintenance skills including painting, minor carpentry, minor plumbing, electric, HVAC and boiler maintenance skills.
• Ability to work with and operate manual and power tools.
• Physical requirements include walking, sitting, standing, bending, driving, ability to climb stairs, carrying, stooping, and lifting up to fifty pounds.
• Mental requirements include ability to exercise independent judgment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that assigned property meets health and safety requirements; communicates deficits and plans for correction to the Maintenance Manager.
• Performs minor and routine maintenance, repairs, and janitorial duties as needed.
• Assists outside contractors with completing repairs or maintenance.
• Replaces parts and performs repairs on appliances (stoves, dishwashers, washers, dryers).
• Performs minor plumbing repairs on sinks, toilets, faucets, traps and related items.
• Assembles prefabricated furniture as requested.
• Completes painting and wall repair in designated buildings.
• Maintains boiler systems and reports concerns to the Maintenance Manager.
• Maintains hand tools; procures equipment and supplies as needed.
• Reports tenant/landlord/building concerns to Maintenance Manager.
• Total of 11 items detailing routine duties including repairs, safety checks, and coordination with managers.
