Job summary

Vitality is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to help keep our residential community in Norfolk, VA safe, clean, and welcoming. You will perform routine maintenance, floors care, and assist residents with moving needs while following all safety and infection-control policies.

This hands-on role requires painting, electrical and plumbing experience, and the ability to respond to emergencies on call.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three to five years of painting/wallcovering experience in a residential setting.
• Electrical and plumbing experience.
• Proficiency in English and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to be available for emergencies and on-call duties.
• Doctor’s statement verifying free from communicable disease, if applicable in your state.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance as directed by supervisor.
• Strip, wax, and buff floors; perform general cleaning tasks.
• Move furniture and assist residents with moving needs.
• Assist with grounds care and snow removal.
• Handle deliveries, work orders, and minor repairs.
• Observe safety policies and protect resident information.
• Attend trainings and team meetings as assigned or requested.
