Job summary

Schochet in Portsmouth, RI is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Bay View Estates, a 130-unit market rate community. You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC and appliance repairs as well as resident turnover tasks and general property upkeep.

On-call duties rotate, requiring the ability to lift 30–60 lbs, stand and walk all day. You must live within 30 minutes of Portsmouth and have a valid driver’s license. Schochet offers strong benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair and unit turnover procedures.
• Able to lift 30–60 lbs regularly and stand/walk all day.
• On-call shifts are required on a rotating basis.
• Residence within 30 minutes of Portsmouth, RI and a valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Completion of all types of work orders from residents.
• General daily upkeep of the property.
• Completion of all resident apartment turnover tasks.
• Conducting property inspections and/or participating on an inspection team.
• Complete preventative maintenance activities.
