Job summary

Tenneco is seeking a Maintenance Technician in the Indianapolis area with 4+ years of journeyman maintenance experience. The role covers preventive maintenance, equipment repair, and safe rigging of new equipment across a manufacturing plant.

Candidates should be proficient in PLC troubleshooting, fabrication, and shop repairs, and be capable of lifting heavy loads. Excellent benefits and a union-friendly environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Journeyman maintenance status or equivalent with 4–10 years’ experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLCs and perform preventive maintenance.
• Willingness to work different shifts and lift heavy items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production equipment and machinery to specification; repair breakdowns as they occur.
• Implement the Preventative Maintenance Program and follow scheduled maintenance.
• Maintain non-production and facility equipment as needed.
• Install new equipment and perform safe rigging and moving operations.
• Follow 5S and safety policies to ensure a safe, clean work environment.
