Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Saline, MI to maintain and repair plastic molding machines and auxiliary equipment across multiple shifts. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety in a modern facility.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years in maintenance, strong hydraulics and pneumatics skills, 2-5 years with plastic injection molding, and an Associate's degree or equivalent. On-site position with competitive wages and robust benefits.

Qualifications

2+ years of maintenance experience.
Strong mechanical skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, preventive maintenance, and installation.
2-5 years of experience with plastic injection molding.
Associate's Degree, Trade, Technical Support, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronic systems.
Experience with electrical circuits and injection molding machines.
Ability to read schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on plastic molding machines and auxiliary equipment, adhering to the established schedule.
Make necessary adjustments to preventative maintenance programs.
Install and repair grinders, thermulators, chillers, and other ancillary equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, with 80% of issues being mechanical and 20% electrical, including wiring repairs on 480-volt machines.
Utilize problem-solving tools to identify the root cause of maintenance issues.
Participate actively in creating and maintaining a safe working environment.
Install and transfer equipment as needed and perform facility maintenance tasks such as repairing floor fans or overhead cranes.
