Mechanic/Electrician - Chemical Industry (Pay range $72K - 96K, 4% Bonus Potential)
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots electrical equipment, PLCs, DCS and other controls
- Repairs Pumps, Valves, and other Process Equipment with minimal supervision
- Assists with RCA’s and other incidents investigations
- Supports SAP management of spare parts, work orders, and other reports
- Supports plant EHS programs, PSM programs and other Bostik initiatives
- Follows all plant policies and practices to ensure safety, quality, service, and cost objectives are met
- Practice continuous quality improvement in all processes. Fully supports Bostik's goal of zero workplace safety incidents and supports and participates in Bostik's EHS Programs
- Knowledgeable of and practices root cause analysis
- Knowledgeable of and practices Preventive and Predictive Maintenance
- Be a project team member and lead some small projects or sub-projects of a larger project
- Practice safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and EPA guidelines
- Repair and maintain equipment and assets in a safe and efficient manner
- Work with production/operations and have knowledge of Bostik products and equipment
- Understanding maintenance processes, applications, and terminology related to manufacturing
- Daily use of hand and power tools. Must safely repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems
- Basic welding, millwrighting, and blueprint and schematic reading
- Work cooperatively with all employees, vendors, and contractors
- Assists in maintaining an acceptable level of housekeeping
- Completes all required paperwork accurately
- Performs various troubleshooting and preventative maintenance duties to equipment as needed
- Work in other areas as needed
- Tracking performance against goals including – uptime, downtime, mean time to failure etc

- This position works in a maintenance shop and production environment
- Demonstrates commitment to HES through high visibility and actions
- Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements
- Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Bostik Inc
- Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents

- High level of detail and accuracy required
Qualifications / Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent: 10+ years of experience required
- 5+years experience with additional Trade School Certificates: Welding, Pipefitting, Millwright, Electrical, PLC, HVAC
- Chemical Plant experience preferred
- SAP experience preferred
- Proficient Computer Skills (Outlook, Word, SAP, Excel)
