Job summary

Inframark is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician I to inspect, maintain, and repair equipment in our O&M operations in Suwanee, Georgia. You will support the maintenance team with preventative tasks, safely handling pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other components.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 0–1 year of related experience; CDL preferred and SCBA certification or the ability to obtain.

Qualifications

• Ability to write simple correspondence and follow written/oral instructions.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and assist in team environments.
• Prior water or wastewater treatment facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Maintenance Technician in executing maintenance tasks.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces.
• Prepare maintenance rigs and tools for daily operations.
• Repair or replace pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, and other components.
• Maintain records and documentation of work orders and tasks.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance tests and inspections.

JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for inspecting, maintaining , and repairing a variety of equipment to extend its serviceable life. This entry-level role supports facility operations by performing preventative and corrective maintenance under guidance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists Lead Maintenance Technician in executing maintenance tasks.
• Cleans and maintains tools, equipment, and assigned workspaces.
• Prepares maintenance rigs and tools for daily operations.
• Repairs or replaces pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, belt presses, and other mechanical components.
• Maintains records and documentation of work orders and completed tasks.
• Performs routine equipment maintenance tests and inspections.
• Adheres to all company safety policies and health procedures as they relate to essential job duties.
• Available for all shifts including weekends, holidays, evenings, and emergency on-call rotations.
• Other Duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 0-1 year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred).
• Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) certification or ability to obtain.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairways safely.
• Must be able to pass a fit-test for Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
