Job summary

Hometown America is hiring a part-time Maintenance Technician for Carriage Mobile Estates in Orange, CA. You will perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance on community buildings, common areas, and leased homes to ensure long-term viability and curb appeal.

Responsibilities include grounds work, irrigation inspections, utility meter readings, and coordinating with the supervisor. A background in snow plowing, landscaping, and basic trades is preferred, with strong safety awareness

Qualifications

  • Prior experience and general knowledge of snow plowing and landscaping.
  • Basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills are preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and outdoor maintenance tasks.

Hometown America has a unique opportunity available for a part-time Maintenance Technician at Carriage Mobile Estates in Orange, CA.


In this role, you will accomplish a variety of routine, emergency and preventative maintenance responsibilities for the community’s common buildings, common areas and leased homes to ensure long-term viability of the community.


As the Maintenance Technician you will:



  • Ensure the community is presentable, inviting, and adheres to our curb appeal standards.

  • Perform grounds work and seasonal maintenance in community common areas: power wash, pest control, sweep curb & dumpster areas, maintain landscaping and other areas.


Perform irrigation system inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance.


Conduct and document utility meter readings, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.



  • Communicate daily to supervisor and collaborate as a team player in order to achieve customer expectations and ensure ongoing operations.

  • Follow safety procedures at all times, including safely operating equipment and vehicles when moving from site to site and picking up supplies.

  • Maintain a professional, courteous rapport with all residents, vendors, contractors, and colleagues.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should have prior relevant experience or demonstrate attributes and/or transferable experience and skills acquired in a different industry or in a different context:



  • Previous experience and general knowledge of snow plowing, and landscaping, basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and hand tools preferred;

  • Ability to work in a variety of seasonal temperatures as the role requires outdoor work;

  • Take initiative and have the flexibility to work well independently as well as in a team environment where you see assignments and projects through to completion;

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays or other times outside of normal business hours for emergency situations;
