Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician in Eau Claire, WI. This full-time role covers HUD apartment buildings, offices, and program sites, with primary focus at 7500 N. Granville.

Duties include repairs, preventive maintenance, and ensuring HUD/compliance across sites. The position requires 2+ years in maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years of building and grounds maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of building systems, tools, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and more.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on boilers, water heaters, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain property appearance, landscaping, and snow removal.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls (rotating on-call schedule).
• Ensure compliance with HUD, WHEDA, REAC, and local codes.
• Monitor vendor work and maintain documentation.
• Assist with unit turnovers, equipment setup, and facility inspections.
