Job summary

National Church Residences – Midland Commons in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join our team and help maintain safe, comfortable homes for seniors. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems, diagnose issues, and ensure clean common areas.

This on-call role requires 24/7 availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a $60/month mobile phone allowance and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 1–2 years of residential/apartment maintenance experience.
• Skilled in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Valid driver’s license and strong troubleshooting.
• Certifications (HVAC, OSHA) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain interior and exterior common areas for safety and cleanliness.
• Complete minor carpentry, painting, appliance, and general repairs.
• Supervise and mentor junior maintenance staff when applicable.
• Manage inventory and submit maintenance records and reports.
• Comply with safety regulations and building codes.
